Parts Sales Policy

ATR Service, Inc. is a specialized restoration, engineering, and technical support company for Ampex ATR-100 Series professional tape machines. We are not a general retail supplier of individual hardware, miscellaneous replacement parts, or components intended for third-party repair work.

     

Our inventory of ATR-100 Series parts is maintained primarily to support machines being restored, repaired, upgraded, and serviced by ATR Service, as well as complete assemblies and products that we manufacture or support.

 

Many components used in these machines are not simply interchangeable hardware. Their selection, condition, installation, mechanical fit, adjustment, and calibration can directly affect the performance and reliability of the machine. For this reason, ATR Service generally does not sell individual items such as bearings, washers, shafts, fasteners, small mechanical components, or other internal service parts separately.

 

Certain components, upgrades, replacement assemblies, and complete products may be offered for direct sale when ATR Service determines that they can be properly supplied and supported as standalone products.

 

Surplus and Legacy Equipment Parts

From time to time, ATR Service may also offer surplus, used, NOS, or legacy parts from equipment other than the Ampex ATR-100 Series. These may include parts for machines such as the Ampex MM-1200 and other professional recording equipment acquired with existing inventory.

 

These items are offered separately as surplus inventory and do not represent our normal parts-sales policy or an ongoing commitment to stock or support those product lines.

Our priority is to concentrate our inventory, engineering resources, and technical support on complete ATR Service restorations, upgrades, supported products, and professional service work.
